The productions
Critterz
A full-length family animated feature from Amersia and Nelson Kleverov, written by the writers of Paddington in Peru. In production on Woven.
We didn’t set out to build software. We set out to make a film.
Critterz began as an AI short by Chad Nelson and Nik Kleverov. In 2024 the founders, then at Vertigo Films, got a very early look at a new generation of video models and knew filmmaking was about to change. We joined forces with Chad and Nik to answer a bigger question: could this technology carry a feature film for a global audience?
Nik is directing. The film is sold worldwide by AGC Studios.
Not AI instead of people. Filmmakers, artists and producers with entirely new possibilities.
Generating a shot is one thing. Making a film is something else entirely.
A feature needs characters and worlds that stay consistent across hundreds of shots. It needs writers, designers, animators, editors and producers working from the same creative material. It needs versions, notes, approvals and a pipeline that can take an idea all the way to a finished film.
The AI tools could give us clips. What we needed was a production system. So we built one, and Critterz is being developed and produced on it: characters, locations, assets, scenes, shots, takes, iterations and approvals.
Woven isn't being tested in a lab. It's being tested on a show.
Critterz
If we're asking filmmakers to use Woven, we should be making a film on it.
The problems we're solving on Critterz aren't unique to us. Every filmmaker, producer and studio bringing AI into professional production is going to face them. Every challenge on the show exposes something we can improve. Every workflow teaches us something. Every production problem we solve feeds back into Woven.
The result is a platform built by people who have spent their careers on set, in the edit and in the financing meeting, for the production teams that use it next.
Critterz
AI may change how films are made. The story, the performance and the final creative decision still belong to the filmmakers.
Every Critterz character starts as a pencil drawing. Woven carries it from sketch to rendered character to a living world, and the hand of the artist stays visible at every step.

Critterz
A production argument, not just a film.
A studio-quality animated feature, made in about a third of the usual schedule.
Every member of the crew is a profit participant. Top talent, studio quality.
Every production problem it throws up is one we solve in Woven.
